Poltrona Frau now in Shanghai

Poltrona Frau inaugurated its first Shanghai flagship store on September 9th, 2014.
The grand opening of the store was heralded by a successful housewarming event with many guests, including the famed photographer Sun Jun who presented Poltrona Frau's "Intelligence in Our Hands" showpiece: a cultural journey into the Brand's hundred-year history touching upon its most iconic milestones in the pictures of this great contemporary Chinese artist.
As witnessed during recent cultural events of the tour that Poltrona Frau has embarked on lately in a bid to share with consumers its own success story and future ambitions though its furnishing collections, on the opening night of the Shanghai showroom a local craftsman gave a live demonstration of the highlights in manufacturing a Chester armchair by hand.
Designed by Renzo Frau in 1912, when the company was established, Chester still represents a timeless icon for a brand like Poltrona Frau whose boundless popularity shows no sign of slowing down.
With a floor surface of 370 square meters the new showroom looks out onto one of the busiest and most colorful streets in Shanghai's Jing'An District - a strategic location that will surely thrive on the hustle and bustle of this fascinating city.
