Cavour armchair
13/05/2014
The Cavour armchair was designed in 1959 by the famous "Associated Architects" Vittorio Gregotti, Lodovico Meneghetti and Giotto Stoppino whose design was to investigate the characteristics of curved laminated wood; soon after its conception, the Cavour armchair became a true icon of style.
At first manufactured by the Novara-based producer Sim, the armchair was included in the Poltrona Frau range in the '80s. The pouf matching the armchair, instead, was recently developed from a 1960s prototype.
Cavour features a bentwood frame in Canaletto walnut veneer in walnut finish, and curved beech veneer in glossy black lacquered finish. Its backrest and seat are padded with polyurethane foam and upholstered in Pelle Frau leather and raised ton-sur-ton piping.
