The Bookworm is a sturdy, bendy bookshelf designed by Ron Arad and manufactured by Kartell.

A careful analysis of extrusion technology has allowed the creation of a curvy bookcase which assumes any desired shape, without compromising toughness and functionality. It is advisable to wall-mount the shelf in a curved shape to keep the materials in tension and to increase resistance once loaded. The Bookworm is available in several colors and three different sizes; unlimited shapes can be formed, limited only by personal creativity.

With 7 bookend supports it is 320cm long, with 11 it is 520cm long, and with 17 it is 820cm long: these three sizes are all 20cm deep and 19cm high.

Bookworm is made from polyvinyl chloride, a material characterized by a particular oil resistance and a low gas permeability, available in solid aluminum or gloss white color, or in black opal, cobalt blue and burgundy.
