The Panton Chair was conceived by Verner Panton in 1956, and then developed for serial production in collaboration with Vitra (1967).
Today this chair, entirely made of durable, dyed-through plastic, has rightfully made the history of twentieth century design, receiving numerous international design awards and is represented in the collections of many prominent museums.
It was the first chair to be made completely out of plastic in one single piece, renowned for its anthropomorphic shape, and is suited for indoor and outdoor environments.
Even today, a striking feature is the sleekness of its backrest, seat and base, all made with 100% recyclable, dyed-through polypropylene. The colors available are many, from brighter hues to soft pastels, the finish is always matt, and durability is ensured thanks to special additives which retard the fading of colours due to UV radiation.
