Louis Ghost, Kartell's iconic chair
28/04/2021
The iconic Kartell chair Louis Ghost is the world's bravest example of the injection of polycarbonate in a single mould, and it is the most frequently used by top-of-the-range catering and banqueting services.
A chair with a medallion-shaped back, inspired by the Louis XV chair, that plays with history through innovative and contrasting materials. This baroque ideotype is reinterpreted by Philippe Starck to amaze, inspire and beguile, in a totally new, fascinating and surprising blend of antique and modern.
Despite its evanescent and crystalline image, Louis Ghost is stable and strong, collision-proof and capable of withstanding all impacts, scratches and weather conditions. It is extremely versatile and handy in fact up to six Louis Ghost armchairs can be stacked.
A very charismatic product with enormous aesthetic appeal, perfect for every setting, be it domestic or professional, and suitable for indoor as well as outdoor use.
The material is a renewable polycarbonate 2.0, and is available in various transparent (even with patterns) and opaque colours. The seat is enveloping, comfortable and roomy just like the armchairs of yesteryear.
