Michaelson Boutique Hotel is a luxury hotel located in a historical part of Klaipėda, close to the old Castle's grounds, on the bank of the Neman River.
The hotel is housed in a building dating back to the 18th century. At that time, buildings in Klaipėda that fronted the water were actually called Venetian warehouses because ships were able to navigate and moor just by the walls.
The waters had been forming the architecture of the city and these buildings, their character and identity.
The Hotel's interior is distinguished by the unique architectural solutions – the synthesis of the 18th century authenticity and modern elegance and comfort.
The refurbishment of the building allowed for the preservation of its original wooden structures and brick walls, which hark back to a distant past, while modern natural materials – such as glass, stone and iron – make it very contemporary at the same time.
Riva1920 contributed in decorating the interiors with original lights made in Murano, Venice, and wooden furniture made of Venetian briccole - a clear tribute to the building's commercial past, but also to the city of Venice.
