Vulcano sofa by Flexform wins Archiproducts Design Award 2019

The Vulcano sofa by Flexform was awarded the highly-coveted Archiproducts Design Award 2019 by the prestigious Archiproducts platform. It represents one of the most important international design awards that is assigned every year to products that have stood out for their unique concept and represent excellence in creativity, technology and research.
Designed by Antonio Citterio for the first Flexform Outdoor collection, the Vulcano sofa was introduced at the Salone del Mobile in Milan last April.
The woven pattern especially dear to Flexform has inspired many products in the indoor collection, and it is now the distinctive motif in the VULCANO seating system. Features like compositional flexibility and a high degree of customization, coupled with a determination to find just the right materials to ensure optimum performance outdoors, form the core design elements of the VULCANO sofa.
The sofa base is made of marine plywood, while the armrest and backrest structures are in austenitic stainless steel 316, a super alloy that ensures superior performance and extreme durability in outdoor settings.
