Riva1920 initiatives for this year's Festival del Legno
05/10/2018
Also this year, from the 29th to the 14th of October, the Riva1920 brand takes part in the Festival Del Legno (Wood Festival), an unmissable event for all those aficionados of this unique material, as popular as it is versatile.
The event, which celebrates the excellence of the entire wood production value chain, has reached its sixth edition and, as every year, will take place in Cantù, welcoming on this occasion all kinds of professionals and enthusiasts of the town's tradition of handcrafted manufacturing.
A calendar full of events (some of which have already begun), dedicated to the many natures and forms of wood, ranging between innovation and tradition, culture and design, street events and theme conventions, open shops and workshops for children, permanent exhibitions and the masters of design.
Riva1920, which also participated last year, will contribute to the festival with an interesting workshop, aimed at involving adults and children.
On 29th and 30th September and from 6th to 13th October, Riva1920 will be hosting "The soul of the trees revealed by their growth rings" at its Cantù showroom. The object is for participants to give the correct answer as to the number of rings inside the cedar tree trunk. All those who have answered the question correctly will take part in a draw, and the prizes are 10 Sparacuori stools in solid cedar wood, designed by Marco Baxadonne, to give away.
Made of scented cedar cut from a single block of wood, symbolically portraying a revolver cylinder that shoots romantic red hearts instead of deadly bullets, Sparacuori is definitely one of the brand's flagship products, and a furniture item that is undoubtedly built to be the star attraction of any interior space.
On top of this, participants will receive a free oak tree, available while stocks last.
The Festival is surely an interesting opportunity to reacquaint oneself with wood and timber, and even young children will surely have lots of fun and get their hands dirty thanks to a face-painting lab.
