Kartell museum teams up with MuseoCity
09/03/2018
As part of the second edition of MuseoCity, an important initiative promoted by the City of Milan and the MuseoCity cultural association to enhance the city of Milan's museum heritage, Kartell organized an unmissable guided tour of its own Museum for Saturday, March 3, 2018.
For three days (02-04 March), Milan turned into a large open-air museum and offered the public a chance to experience the beauty and wealth of its artistic and cultural heritage.
More than 70 cultural venues including art museums, history museums, scientific museums, house museums, artists' studios and corporate museums, scattered throughout the city, but also located in several metropolitan area, open their doors to the public with guided tours, special initiatives, children's workshops and extraordinary openings.
As always ever-sensitive to the attractions of the art world, Kartell has handed out to the Milanese a golden opportunity to get to know its historical collection of car accessories, household items, lamps, laboratory items, furniture and accessories, all created since the 1950s, and made in a variety of plastic materials and signed by great masters of design.
By revealing some of the collection's rarer objects and the unique pieces on display, the guided tour has explored the theme of 'collector's items', ranging from design proposals for the home to true works of artistic design.
Predictably, the experience was an instant success and, once again, Kartell has successfully presented itself through its own works of art and creativity.
