SIR GIO by Kartell seizes Archiproducts Design Awards
09/02/2018
Designed by Philippe Starck for Kartell, the Sir Gio table has won the prestigious Archiproducts Design Awards, a prize that aims to celebrate excellence in international design by rewarding the search for innovative, formal and material solutions, as well as the ability to define or anticipate usage scenarios and concepts for residential and contract interiors.
Its central base is made from a polycarbonate mould of elevated technological innovation, supporting a 120 cm glass top.
Allowing various possible combinations, the base comes in 2 finishes (transparent and fumé) and may be paired with 5 tops in the colour variants of bronze, dusty pink, fumé, green or yellow.
By gleefully mixing the colours, it is possible to achieve different solutions and create highly colourful tables for younger, more informal interiors, or not, as the case may be.
Curated by the prestigious Archiproducts website, the international jury – made of 40 among the most influential architectural firms from all over the world – has chosen the winners of the ADA 2017.
After days of research, qualitative evaluations and analysis, the prize was assigned after having gathered widespread consensus for each candidate product.
