Lantern: a new lamp by Kartell

Kartell has showcased to the public a brand new lamp designed by Fabio Novembre.

The item is called "Lantern" an original portable, LED-powered table lamp that, as the name implies, looks like a classic lantern with a timeless charm.

Naturally, the difference from the original lighting object that inspired it, lies in the use of innovative materials, for which Kartell is acknowledged as one of the greatest experts, and in its functionality.

Crafted from a solid piece of molded polycarbonate, the clear, injection-molded surface helps create - once the lamp is on - an evocative and interesting play of lights. This is achieved thanks to the very special projection of light, which is beamed through the graphic effect of the lamp's jewel-like contemporary design.

Adding to the exclusivity of the lamp is also its innovative charging feature: indeed, it is recharged simply by placing it atop its conductive and/or wireless base.

The result is therefore a lamp that is certainly unique and unprecedented in its technical sophistication, promising critical and commercial acclaim.
