Artemide supports the intriguing Ey You! project
12/12/2017
Until January 6th, 2018, Artemide is supporting the outdoor photojournalism exhibition Ey You! by Stefano Guindani, which uses the facades of the Microsoft House in via Pasubio in Milan to recount the life and faces of the children of Haiti.
The exhibition collects images by Stefano Guindani during his latest reportage on the island, together with the Francesca Rava charity Foundation, in July 2017
It also includes a selection of shots from the volume "Do You Know?" published by SKIRA and some of them the most impressive images of Stefano's first trip to Haiti between 2008 and 2010.
EY YOU! takes its name from the characteristic Creole expression with which children welcome foreigners in the slums of the capital Port Au Prince, and more than 100 windows at Microsoft House will be used to hang the giant portraits of children shot by Stefano Guindani in a number of striking poses..
There are children who ideally shake hands from one floor to another of the building or who jump, or open their arms to big hugs.
The aim is to raise awareness about the dramatic situation of poverty and child mortality in Haiti, one of the poorest islands in the world.
At the same time as the spectacular outdoor display, over 65 images will be set up in the Microsoft House showroom..
Naturally, Artemide supports the project Ey You! because it fully shares its values and contributes to the exhibition by providing special Tolomeo lights.
These have been specially designed to highlight the photographs on display, in order to underscore the raw emotion and vital charge that these images convey.
