The Let it Be sofa designed for Poltrona Frau by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba has won the prestigious Archiproducts Design Award 2017 for the category "Furniture".
The prize was awarded by an extremely select international panel of industry experts, comprising also the editorial team of Archiproducts - a magazine and web portal among the most prominent reference points worldwide in design and architecture.
The annual Design Awards event was born out of the desire to acknowledge excellence in international design for 14 different product categories and to identify the groundbreaking items that are most likely to set worldwide trends.
It is therefore a highly sought-after award that many brand can only hope to come close to winning. The Let It Be sofa was awarded for the quality of design, materials and for its "emotional" aesthetics.
By paying homage, in its evocative name, to one of the most famous songs by the Beatles, an iconic band that has left its mark not only in the history of music but also defined a whole era, the sofa was constructed in such a way as to express its freedom from all formalities and conventions, just as the Beatles are famous for doing.
The basic structure is that of the Roman triclinium, a formal dining room in a Roman building where in ancient times it was customary to converse, eat, rest. Featuring a modular system and open to the most varied and comfortable configurations, it is a clear invitation to relaxation.
At its best when fully outfitted with the desired combination of shelves and containers that enhance its functionality, Let it Be is the place to be, when seeking to get away from the daily grind, allowing us to free ourselves of the thoughts, trials and tribulations that make up a heavy-going routine.
This award reaffirms once again the great commitment that, as a brand, Poltrona Frau has always shown in creating unique and inimitable products, whose most powerful selling points are the outstanding quality of materials and the exclusivity of the design.
