After the stunning success of last year's edition, Riva 1920 is once again sponsoring the second run of La Festa del Legno, (Wood Festival) a show wholly dedicated to wood - that noble and multifaceted material of which the famed furniture brand is a deep connoisseur, ranking among the absolute experts.
The festival takes place every weekend from September 23 through to October 8 and, amongst other things, has kicked off another interesting initiative to safeguard nature.
The initiative revolves around freely handing out 3,000 oak tree seedlings (until stocks last) that will be given to each visitor to plant in the garden, in a forest or in a park so as to contribute actively to the reforestation of green spaces.
But that is not all, the prize for the best seedling photo selected among those submitted and shared on Riva 1920's Facebook page, will be a cedar wood stool by Riva1920.
The Festa del Legno also offers many amusements for younger participants, including workshops, children's makeup artists and a kids caricaturist.
