On July 9, the famous New York Times newspaper gave ample space to the iconic 1966 Knoll Dining Table designed by Richard Schultz.
In fact, in an article titled "Shopping for outdoor dining tables", Schultz's 1966 square dining table was placed in the "top list" of tables ideal for outdoor dining.
It was cited for its outstanding versatility and functionality, it was ranked among the finest tables in terms of finishes and materials, as well as elegance, naturally.
Richard Schultz designed the 1966 collection in the same year after receiving an envelope from Knoll's founder, Florence Knoll, which contained a note expressing her desire to showcase beautifully-designed garden furniture that can also withstand all kinds of weather.
It was the first truly modern outdoor collection and since then it has been taken as a source of inspiration for many other furnishings. Since then, it has been adapted to incorporate the finest modern materials, including powder coating and stainless steel, its standing today seems to be in keeping with the brand's most iconic pieces, and the New York Times story can only confirm our belief.
