Flexform's exclusive stand at the Salone del Mobile, Milano
12/04/2017
Flexform has participated in the Salone del Mobile, which came to a close last week, with a completely updated stand, designed specially by architect Antonio Citterio.
The display concept centered on subdividing the whole area into living islands, organized around a choice of Flexform's best-known and iconic models.
Alongside this original idea, a new architectural feature was inserted: a small internal courtyard with green shrubs and plants, facing the display areas with the new collections. The courtyard was chosen as it represents a spatial concept with deep roots in the history of our country, originating in the layout of ancient Roman villas.
As for the stand itself, especially noteworthy were the striking large wall in Levanto red marble and the pale travertine of the floors, also running along the walls to provide a neutral chromatic frame
The many different spaces were neatly enclosed by lightweight drapes that added to the calm, relaxing atmosphere.
Finally, a mezzanine area, designed like a real lounge, housed the workstations.
Clearly, the aim here was to create work environments that could easily pass for homely residential settings.
