Riva1920 and its furnishings stole the scene at Homi Milan, the lifestyle trade fair

Riva 1920 and its furnishings have once again taken part in Homi, an international exhibition dedicated to the home, personal care, styles and spaces held in Fiera Milano Rho, from January 27th to 30th.
The absolute protagonist of the entire installation that was specially crafted for the fair was the precious solid cedar wood, a kind of wood that Riva1920 has always used for creating unique furnishings, whose distinguishing features are the unique wood grains and the unmistakable scent emanating from this particular wood.
Also of note is the very own layout of the exhibition booth, which was divided into two sections: one dedicated to furnishings made of natural cedarwood, and the other dedicated to some products made with the new black Volcano finish.
The latter is a process recently introduced by Riva1920, and draws inspiration from an ancient Japanese technique obtained through a carbonization process that affects only the surface layer of the wooden structure of the buildings as a natural remedy against moths and mildew.
Among the items on display: a few pieces of Molletta benches designed by Baldessari & Baldessari, Clessidra stools by Mario Botta, and the famed Giulia rocking horse by Pininfarina.
The last piece on display was an impressive furnishing, purpose-built for the exhibition, consisting of a four-meter-long table made from a trunk section, using the iron base of the Sky model.
