Flexform's Crono dining chair awarded with the 2017 Wallpaper* Design Awards

The Crono dining chair, designed for Flexform by Antonio Citterio in 2016, has been awarded with the Wallpaper* Design Awards 2017.

A series of prestigious awards assigned every year by the influential design magazine Wallpaper* and aiming to acknowledge all those items that have distinguished themselves for design and innovation and, above all, have been praised and critically acclaimed by readers, the Wallpaper * Design Awards are truly a much sought-after goal.

Crono won the award in the "Best Stretch" category and was picked for its unquestionable ability to update and reinterpret the classic 1940s armchair with a structure in solid wood and curved wooden armrests.

Chrono is characterized primarily for the remarkable comfort of the seating and support for the back, which is obtained thanks to the large down-filled back cushion and to a second more robust seat cushion.

Moreover, the chair stands out thanks also to the particular crafted back with an original weave of cowhide cords, making it more contemporary and setting it somewhat apart from the classical context in which it first appeared.
