Isabel by Flexform wins the International Design Award as "Object of the Year"

The new Isabel sofa by Flexform has been awarded "Object of the Year" in the furniture category at the International Design Award sponsored by Elle Decoration Russia.

Isabel is a lavish product, a sofa that stands out for being entirely covered in cowhide, including the legs, and for its terse, essential lines.

Much of the expressive impact of the design is entrusted to a slew of fine, high quality materials and to a metal chassis that is visually and structurally lightweight as it is slightly raised off the floor.

Especially noteworthy are the soft and elegant seat and backrest cushions shown for the first time at the Salone del Mobile with an original double covering: brown testa di moro velvet for the seat, Havana cotton for the back.

All in all, in the words of its designer Carlo Colombo, Isabel is a sofa that conveys the purest values of design and sophistication.
