Knoll and Piero Lissoni showcase Avio in London

Last month Knoll hosted an 'In Conversation' event with renowned contemporary designer Piero Lissoni at its Clerkenwell showroom as part of the London Design Festival, 17-25 September.

The event was held on September 20 and was followed by a drinks reception.

Members of the public turned up in great numbers so much that the event, through the words of the designer and especially while reflecting on his brilliant and long career, also contributed to place the focus squarely on new Knoll collections.

Throughout the Festival, Knoll presented Avio, an innovative and highly versatile system of upholstered furnishings designed by Piero Lissoni that was unveiled for the first time in Milan earlier this year.

During the 'In conversation' event, Piero Lissoni was invited to explain, among other design-related subjects, the concept and some of the technological complexities involved in the design and manufacture of the ambitious yet wholly successfully Avio modular system.
