Poltrona Frau has celebrated the 50th birthday of famous designer Jean-Marie Massaud with an item specifically dedicated to him.
The French designer, whose birthday was September 8, has another reason to celebrate: namely, two decades of unique creations spanning design and architecture that today belong to many a design collection of the world's leading museums.
Of these creations, an impressive 27 have been designed by Massaud exclusively for Poltrona Frau, so it cannot be denied that the two have enjoyed a very fruitful, long-term professional collaboration.
From the now iconic Archibald chair (created in 2009) that is an open invitation to relaxation thanks to its generous headrest to the equally famous Gran Torino, a modular sofa system inspired by the world of saddlery and whose originality owes much to its box-like structure that acts as storage, and functions as a table or oversized armrest when closed.
These are just a few of the most famous products executed by Jean Marie Massaud for Poltrona Frau, strengthening a solid collaboration that is still going strong after many years and shows no sign of fizzling out.
