Kartell has also taken part in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro making its contribution to the decor of Casa Italy, the exclusive headquarters of CONI (Italian Olympic Committee), and that was selected during this world-class event to foster closer ties between Italy and Brazil.

Inaugurated on August 3, Casa Italy is a spacious building, located in Joá, Costa Brava, the western neighborhood of the city, 20 kilometers from the Rio 2016 Olympic village. The whole area is extremely picturesque, so much that Casa Italia itself is situated on an island linked to dry land by a 98 metre long bridge.

Kartell was honored and delighted to be furnishing this captivating location by providing seating such as Louis Ghost and Comback armchairs.
