New offerings from Flexform 2016

The recent 55th edition of the Salone del Mobile proved itself a grand occasion for Flexform to showcase its new 2016 collection to the public.
Tellingly, the collection has been shaped by three immensely talented and highly influential professionals on the international design scene: Antonio Citterio, the architect who has directed Flexform collections for more than forty years, Daniel Libeskind, the visionary US architect, and Carlo Colombo, one of Italy's top designers and architects.
While their design poetics draws from such diverse inspiration sources, the collections blend harmoniously with each other in keeping with the brand's stylistic hallmark.
Undoubtedly one of the most noteworthy new proposals by Antonio Citterio, ZENO is a new family of modular sofas in keeping with the Italian brand's typical sobriety.
Featuring a characteristic tubular metal, leather-upholstered armrest shaped like a small wing, Zeno comes in two versions.
The version known as Zeno is firmly rested on the ground with upholstery all the way down to the floor, while Zeno Light is a version somewhat raised off the ground.
Among the novelties designed by Daniel Libeskind Adagio sets itself apart as a sectional sofa with dynamic, de-constructed design in a similar vein to the architectural structures by this visionary American architect.
Amazingly easy on the eye, Adagio has a high, tilted and upholstered back, its seat is padded with an integrated trapezoidal cushion with an equally asymmetrical chaise longue element.
Finally, among Carlo Colombo's creations it is impossible not to mention Iseo, a sleek, elegant metal framed dining table that plays on its extreme formal neatness. Iseo is supported by four metal legs, rounded on the corner, and fitted flush with the four outer corners that hold up the thin slab of marble or wooden top.
