Poltrona Frau for the Museimpresa seminar
01/10/2015
On September 25 and 26, Poltrona Frau hosted the Museimpresa seminar, a unique event whose objective is to find novel ways and models to encourage a more active use of museum heritage.
Much time throughout the debate was dedicated to the question of museum education and any relevant learning activities, with a focus on defining the role of corporate museums.
The participation of Poltrona Frau in Museimpresa undoubtedly sends a strong message about the famous furniture maker's will to embrace and enhance its own heritage in terms of manufacturing know-how and corporate history, while measuring itself against business realities from a cross-section of sectors and specialties.
Over 50 managers from some of Italy's most famous corporate museums took part in lessons and workshops held by professionals in this sector.
These included the Museum Department of the Emilia Romagna Region, the Fine Arts Academy (Accademia Belle Arti) of Macerata, the ETRA cultural association, the Venice-based Peggy Guggenheim Collection and the MART (Museo di Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Trento and Rovereto).
