Flexform's commitment to the Gabriele Basilico Award for Architecture and Landscape photography

Flexform has pledged to support the first edition of the Gabriele Basilico International Award for Architecture and Landscape Photography, promoted by the Milan Institute of Architects, the Gabriele Basilico Studio and the Studio Marangoni Foundation.

Aimed at young, under 35 year old photographers, the Award was created to honor the memory of Gabriele Basilico (Milan, b.1944-d.2013), one of the leading figures of the international photography scene.

A long-standing collaborator of Flexform, taking some of the most beautiful black and white pictures for its 80s advertising campaigns, Basilico captured the beauty of such sofas as Max, Magister and Groundpiece by enhancing their geometries through the architectural slant of his pictures

In a nutshell, he was an all-round artist, whose experience and creativity doubtless contributed to define and enhance Flexform's image also thanks to the strong symbolic value of his photos.

The Gabriele Basilico International Award for Architecture and Landscape Photography will be awarded in December by a jury chaired by Giovanna Calvenzi, who will announce the winner of the best project.
