Poliform at the D'Days event in Paris

Poliform has recently attended the 15th edition of D'Days, the design festival which every year attracts the Paris showrooms of the main companies in the design and furnishing industries.
The event was held in the French capital from May 31 to June 4, and this year's driving theme for all the initiatives that were played out throughout the week was "Expérience" – a concept that every showroom was free to interpret in its own personal and creative way.
Poliform decided to interpret the "Expérience" theme through the "Dressing, Histoires de Design" setting: an installation focused on the historical wardrobe "Io", designed by Paolo Piva in 1989, and to "Fitted," designed by Rodolfo Dordoni and the latest addition to Poliform's wardrobe collection.
With its strong personality and the meticulous craftsmanship that shaped it, "Io" is without doubt a full-fledged item that encapsulates perfectly the Brand's decade-long experience, thus proving itself the ideal choice to play out this year's theme.
But whereas "Io" best represents complexity and attention to the smallest detail both in terms of its design and the internal accessories, on the opposite side of the spectrum the modular cabinet system Senzafine – for a while the other great champion of the Poliform showroom - is certainly the perfect example of absolute minimalism.
Two opposite worlds, hence two opposite ways of interpreting decor, however they complement each other by showing the two sides of Poliform's philosophy: modernity and tradition.
And the concept that Poliform chose to represent at its Paris installation is precisely this interlocking play of modernity and past, since these two aspects of time certainly fall under the umbrella of what we define "Experience".
For experience to be empowering, it must not merely "cling to the past" but be ever-shifting, constantly on the lookout for traces of subtle changes that affect the way we live, and the passing of time changes the way we relate to our Home
