Residenze Porta Nuova is an exclusive Milan-based housing project consisting of 400 luxury apartments situated in the heart of the city in the area bordering on the Isola, Garibaldi and Varesine neighbourhoods. True to its upmarket status, its interiors have been selected by the famous architect Antonio Citterio and his firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners
The Residenze Porta Nuova project was conceived as a platform for bringing together some of the best Italian brands for the purposes of constructing quality residential spaces that place the individual at the center of the home while, at the same time, supporting the international export of Italian design. The project includes a number of exclusive furnishing proposals with offerings by as many as 30 designer brands.
Among these high-class names the most prestigious are undoubtedly Poltrona Frau, Poliform and Varenna, which for many years now are considered benchmarks for the furniture-making industry and whose creations are so unique as to have become instantly recognizable worldwide.
The idea underlying Residenze Porta Nuova is to provide buyers with the opportunity of being assisted also in designing the interiors of their home of choice, ensuring that decor and furnishings are selected from the long list of manufacturers supporting the project.
Italian elegance and refinement are the two keywords that designate this amazing array of style and creativity. Indeed, customizable and bespoke furnishing solutions are also available.
Only a small part of these apartments has been completed at present. These include the ones inside the famous Solaria tower, which at 143 mt high confirms its status as Milan's tallest building..
As the name suggests, all the apartments in Solaria ("Sole" = Sun) have been constructed in accordance with architectural methodologies that maximize natural light and solar energy and that at night adopt LED-powered solutions. While it may seem a mere detail, this feature made sure the project earned the international LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification for sustainability.
