Poltrona Frau at Cologne's Orgatec trade fair
21/10/2014
After many years of absence, Poltrona Frau returns to Cologne for the Orgatec: Modern Office & Facility trade fair. Completely dedicated to office furnishings, the fair is held in Cologne between October 21 and 25, and hosts over 622 businesses in the contract furniture sector from 53 countries of the world along with an estimated 50,000 international visitors.
Poltrona Frau takes part in the fair with a stand designed by Dordoni Architetti to look like a contemporary architectural office and with a complete collection of management-level office furnishings.
The outer "shell" of the booth is made up of natural lime-coloured calcium-silicate slabs with special openings that turn into the windows on a façade.
Hollow and solid volumes alternate one another to create unexpected see-through effects and an exchange between the outside and inside.
The starring role goes to the Jobs collection, the new office furniture line designed by Rodolfo Dordoni, on show at Orgatec for the first time.
It consists of elements whose lines are the epitome of formal rigour: desks, cabinets, bookcases and boardroom tables.
Among the latest desk chairs a special mention goes to Downtown, the latest creation from Jean-Marie Massaud that blends ergonomics, technology and timeless elegance in a pleasing product that delivers both in terms of aesthetics and functionality.
